ABOUT
The Major Toms

Birmingham, 2010—what started as a one-night-only tribute to Ziggy Stardust became something much bigger. A supergroup of seasoned Birmingham musicians came together to celebrate frontman Owen Comaskey’s 50th birthday, and by the time the final chord rang out, one thing was clear: this ride wasn’t over. The Major Toms had landed.
From their first electrifying performance, The Major Toms set out to do more than just play Bowie’s music—they brought it to life. No gimmicks, no backing tracks, just raw, untamed energy and a devotion to the sound that shaped a generation. Cosmic storytellers in their own right, they channel the Starman’s spirit, turning every gig into a journey through time, space, and sound.
And like Bowie himself, they refuse to be confined. Whether stripping things back for an intimate acoustic set or going full spectacle on playing full albums with a string quartet, The Major Toms embody reinvention. Each performance is a testament to their passion, their craft, and their fearless approach to the music they love.
Now a mainstay of the Midlands scene and beyond, The Major Toms light up stages across the country, delivering show after show with the same fire that fueled their first. Every night is a resurrection, a reminder, and a promise: Bowie’s music will never fade.
